Eye Relief
All A1optic Red Dots have unlimited eye relief. Unlike rifle scopes and other red dots A1optic Red dots are not limited to a 1 inch range of Useable eye relief like some brands. You can use all A1optic Red dots at any distance and still have a full view.
All we suggest is you take care not to be so close you get a black eye or worse, eye damage, broken nose, or cheek bones from recoil. I've been hit twice before I learned my lesson. Mount all scopes and red dots at a safe distance.
Due to this Optic breakthrough only A1optic Red Dots are great for any application from short to long Eye Relief. Only A1optic red dots can be used on anything including Rifles, Shotguns, Crossbows, Black powder, Muzzle Loaders, Paintball, handguns or anything else you want to shoot. We have even had people mount them on telescopes for quick location of Stars or other planet formations.
Some scope manufacturers have an eye relief of only 2 1/2" so they can boast of a wide field of view. I would rather see a few feet less in the scope than get hit on recoil. Eye damage or broken facial bones are not worth seeing an extra few feet @100 yards.
As a rule, The shorter the eye relief the larger the field of View.
First choose a safe comfortable eye relief. Field of view comes second to safety.
Warning Never mount any optic less than 2 1/2" from your eye, 3" would be a better eye relief to try for.
